  • InterPro ID / label

GO:0004106 | chorismate mutase activity | IEA with IPR008242

  • Example sequences with problematic annotation (ID + gene/protein name):

https://www.pombase.org/gene/SPBC30D10.16
https://www.uniprot.org/uniprotkb/O14361/entry

  • Description of issue

in yeast this doesn't appear to be a chorismate mutase (which is IPR036263), or related to chorismate mutase (maybe the bacterial proteins referred to in  IPR008242 have an additional domain?)

Hi Val,
Thank you very much for this. Yes, in IPR008242 there are bifunctional enzymes with chorismate mutase activity, so I removed the term in this entry to stop the wrong mapping to yeast proteins. I added GO:0004106 to the Chorismate mutase domain (IPR002701). These changes will be available in InterPro 104.0.
Best wishes,
Sara
