Hello there,

i'm using Win 7 64-Bit, also Firefox 61.0 (64Bit), .Net is 4.7.1
Both FF and wGC are running as admin.

I see, when using an orange Combine (either as seen in the recipe or processing the instructions),
1: Dupe 1A→1B
2: Upgrade 1B
3: Dupe 1A→1C
4: Dupe 1B→2A
5: Combine 2A→1C
6: Dupe 1A→2A
7: Combine 2A→1C
8: Dupe 1A→2A
9: Combine 2A→1C
10: Combine 1C→1A
11: Combine 1B→1A

gives a g3 Gem worth 8x as in the program.

If i'm running it with gg"9", its
1: Dupe 1A→1B
2: Upgrade 1B //upgrades 1A
3: Dupe 1A→1C
4: Dupe 1B→2A //dupes 1A
5: Combine 2A→1C
6: Dupe 1A→2A
7: Combine 2A→1C
8: Dupe 1A→2A
9: Combine 2A→1C
10: Combine 1C→1A
11: Combine 1B→1A

resulting in a g4 Gem worth 13x

I'm quite sure, the problem ist with me, but i really made any progress with google or the closed issues.
Might be an issue with the game resolution??
Any help?

have the info pannels hidden? Theres an option to hide them in options and by default it is " . ". By pressing " . " The info pannels dissapear and go hidden. The programs specifies these must be hidden to work properly.

Im saying this cause i encountered similar problems like u describe because i had the info pannels activated instead of hidden. If not then i dont know :l

nowadays no browser seems to handle gemcombiner anymore correctly...i tried FF+portable chrome+portable, vivaldi, opera and not a single one did combine the gems as supposed to as its in the recipes...this might work at the beginning of the game sometimes (esp with chrome and a few steps of combining) but if u reach round 50 or so and u wanna combine a 2048 mana spec eg then the result is often similar but NOT as the recipe !...OTOH within the steam version everything is still perfect of course...id suppose its sth with the resolution/zoomfactor or sth like that but im honestly clueless whats the cause....would be REALLY nice if that issue could be solved again...ATM gemcombiner is useless (well its still better than U-upgrade) when u wanna play gemcraft CS online via fash-player...i hope someone is able to fix this and lets follow an update for this problem
regards, so far a great tool, thx

already very early on (step 5-15 or so) at some point of the game gemcombiner combines already lvl 1 and lvl3 gems which is absolutely not as wished...just as a hint if that might be helpful

since im not really awaiting a reaction to this problem here is my workaround for those who still wanna play with gemcombiner on flashplayer embeded websites:
install firefox44-portable (or older) and everything is still working excellently !!...have fun

I had the exact same problem as its being described BUT with the tiny difference that i wasnt playing on any browser thats why i suggested about info pannels hidden. This was sometime ago since i played the game with the gemcombiner but i remember i wasnt using no browser to play it but a standalone...

Also i wanted to point out, and this has nothing to do with the thread, but still, i ended up using the 65000 & 243000 or even higher formulas and it was always always the same. But curiously enough some formulas said it was for black for example and i ended up using them for orange lets say. Like the formulas were meant for something else entirely than i used them for... Or it was something like for making an excelent ultimate gem i mixed up a lvl 1 black gem no combined with a 243000 black gem and with 4 reds already combined at 63000 and all of that mixed alltogether with a gem at the same level thats was it 3rd formula form the top.... And for the Amplifiers i used another very very very weird strangest formula by myself ... So yeah it was i never really used the formulas given .. and after a few months of beating many levels in endless mode i just didnt want to repeat the process of making the ultimate gem.. It was like i spend LITERALLY 2-3 hours depending on the level to make the ULTIMATE GEM and then 1 minute to go from wave 200 to 999 ... I just realised .. This is not Gemcraft anymore .. I think i havent played it since September IDK ..

On the standalone, the only trick is to make sure that you're playing at the default screen size and don't have it maximized or otherwise resized (although it's fine if you maximize it temporarily, then restore it before using the combiner). There used to be code to at least partially handle resized screens, but when the code was improved to better interact with the Windows GUI, the sizing code was removed, I think, since it wasn't a very common concern at the time.

The only problem i EVER had with this AWESOME and BEAUTIFUL program was that i wanted somehow to remove most of the formulas and only keep like 9 lets say. Cause i remember changing the formula and when i click wrongly i had to wait like 2 min if i clicked on some of the highest ones.. But the rest of it was quite good. Ill probably play Gemcraft again in the future. I think i replayed it like 3 times since release. (I mean the last chapter release).
Now im trying to learn Unity, C and Java so i can try to download Shop Heroes game make a standalone of it and FINALLY REDUCE ALL Graphics options to the minimum possible ever imagined cause it doesnt have a FKN option for that. Those pesty green particles are so annoying, not even mentioning the time, and i mean THE TIME it takes to make a single item in the game. 3 Hs for f sake. 3 frgn hours.. Im just gonna try to learn programming and reduce all timers of the game to a third or 4th...
