This requires deleting the forked repository, then cloning, etc.

Do not use copy-paste for deleting the forked repository. Make sure teh developers type it out and understand the gravity of deleting the fork (it's gone forever).

Do this as separate branches so that the push pull request steps can be repeated without deleting the fork?
