The README contains instructions for modifying build.gradle and settings.gradle. These insertions can be done automatically via bash or Powershell (obviously something like Python would also work, but would require Python to be installed on the user's machine).

Actually, I'll reopen this because people might not want to use the template so it would still be beneficial to have something like what this issue proposes.
