Inscriptions across witnesses

@dietmarpravida, @wissenbach, @thvitt, is there such thing as inscriptions across witnesses?
I mentioned this as a theoretical possibility in https://github.com/faustedition/faust-gen-html/issues/569#issuecomment-422033882.
In real-life genesis this is quite commen (e.g., when a witness is fragmented afterwards, or when physical parts of one and the same witness end up as separate archival documents).
But I have no idea if you modeled this at that time, and I don't know if you take this possibility into account when it comes to processing the data.

it is not supported by my implementation, and I currently neither see a way of encoding this nor a way of dealing with this.

Maybe we can discuss and improve inscription handling in a more general, less hacky way after the 1.0 release?
