Use Cases

As a user with a public presence and reputation within the EC ecosystem, various actors and personas would like to have a human readable account name, as well as public presence.

Github's usernames are the biggest social network for coding. The pattern of (account name)/(repo) repeats across NPM, Docker Registry, Crates, etc.

Job Stories (Optional)

As a developer with an active Github account, when username registration opens up for EC, I want to reserve my Github username so that I can re-use my public presence / reputation.

As Fission, as users register, I would like to have some evidence that they are real users, and Github accounts of some age and activity help me do that.

As Fission, I would like to encourage a certain amount of FOMO as registration happens, in order to have more sign ups.
