Problem

When searching for an app in English it should also match the same app.
Windows does it and I found it very useful, since e.g. most tutorials and docs are in English. It is easier to just type English name. Also might be useful for multilingual people.

Proposal

An app should be found by name written in any language. Or at least in English and current system language.

Yes absolutely. Here in our household theres french, german, english mixed together.
eOS settings already allow to define several languages for a session, so maybe appmenu can grab and list accordingly to language order ? That would be very slick

The .desktop file embeds the word in all languages, and im pretty sure the rdnn is in the exec line, so i dont know if there is a lot of behind the scene plumbing - But on the UI side this would leave it pretty unchanged, no ?
