search is broken sometimes

What Happened?

Every once in a while, usually after a few days of usage, the search in Slingshot breaks. I try to search something, but it shows matches for some older search and it gets impossible to search anything else.

Steps to Reproduce

I'm really not sure what are the preconditions for this. But I think it usually happens after a few days of uptime. The steps are then:

1. Open app menu (with Super+Space or a click at the wingpanel button)
2. Type to search
3. The results and matched parts are different then what I typed. They always correspond to some older search.

Repeating with different search terms shows the same old results.

Expected Behavior

Obviously it should show search results for what I type.

Just run into it on Horus 7.1, came here to report it, and found I already reported the issue 2 years and one major version ago 😕
