It seems like wl-clipboard should be a dropin replacement for xclip, but I can't seem to figure out how to modify the script to make it work. it looks like it should be a pretty simple fix as under wayland the audio records and dumps into /tmp just fine and if I physically drag and drop it into anki it works. it's just the xclip part that is broken.

I don't have access to a wayland environment now, Can you test if replacing xclip instances with wl-copy solves that problem? It might be necessary to change the -s ( aka -selection in xclip) option appropriately.
