Specify scaling for a upscaling mode only

I would like to upscale normal 16:9 videos just to 18,5:9 instead of 21:9 when I am in upscale mode.

I'll assume you can use Upscale mode and then tweak X scaling to your needs?

Illustrative and helpful. I think I should add two decimals as incremental points, instead of one.
So since 0.9 doesn't work for you, maybe you need 0.94 for example.

I'll try to add this tonight so you can test it. Can you give me a reference video that I can use to test this myself?

I think the main problem is that there should be no vertical black / blank space as long as the video zoom has not reached 100%.
