Suddenly closing the source of the extension in addition to the rebrand is enough to make me no longer want it. I found the extension extremely useful for viewing video on a 4:3 monitor, but I dislike installing extensions which aren't open source due to previous cases where I've had extensions that were updated to include malware and weren't removed from the Chrome Store for months. This could still happen with FOSS software, of course, but for now the discomfort is enough for me to remove the extension unless I have a desperate need for the use case again. I vehemontly disagree with the description on the main page that says having the software as open source had no value. The value is user trust, and suddenly switching to closed source betrays that. I'm sure there's no bad intention or anything, but it's a disconcerting change on the user's part. Just as a side note, I found it much preferrable having the extension grey itself out when off rather than having "OFF" in large text as I liked to keep it pinned in Chrome, and the text feels offputting and distracting. Also having Chrome handle the extension shortcuts does make more sense, but there should be a link in the extension dropdown itself where the information once was to direct the user to that menu rather than only being in the onboarding page. |

Stoped working for my ultrawide monitor on mac. The video positions off center and zooming crops video on bottom left. |

After some time, full screen mode turns off. The F key or clicking full screen mode with the mouse does not work either. You need to go to extensions, disable and re-enable the plug-in and then it works again, but only temporarily. Very frustrating. The browser is Arc on Mac, it happens on every player, YouTube, Netlifx etc. |

Windows 11, Firefox 121.0.1 64bit. 21:9 monitor I have no idea why it has stopped working for keys. Edit, I am using Ultrawideo again, I watched your new video , and have made the shortcut key ALT + A,, apparently firefox is now forcing me to use ALT or Shift with a key. thank you for your helpful program. |

Shortcuts (Ctrl Shift X and Ctrl Shift Z) stopped working and I didn't like that V3 made the extension closed source and requires full access to all sites. |

I have a 32/9 monitor, and I want to get rid of letterboxing, meaning I want to watch at 21/9 most of the time. It doesn't work like that. I am guessing because the videosteam is always 16/9, but it doesn't matter as my usecase is not covered. |

Closed source (I read your explanation and understand it, but still, I found another open-source alternative). |

Uninstalled the extension because keyboard shortcuts stopped working in the latest version. |

Uninstalled due to not being able to configure which domains this has data access to. For example, BetterTTV only requires data access to twitch.tv and optionally youtube.com domains. Sponsorblock also does this nicely - they only require data permission for youtube.com, but give the user an additional option to enable data access for all domains. So I know it is possible because other extensions are offering this kind of permission customisation. I see you made a comment 4 months ago in response to a negative review with someone asking if access to ALL websites is really required: "Yes, I am sure. Full access is required so that the extension can inject its functionality on every page. Creating a long list of like 1000s of domains that are video streaming platforms world-wide is quite bad and aside there would be no way of knowing if the website has embedded videos on it. So yes, quite sure it needs full access." Personally I would feel more comfortable and safe with this extension. It seems I am not alone on this with it being closed-source and not verified by firefox - being verified by firefox would also mitigate this issue entirely. It would be nice for users to have a toggle-able option to choose whether they want to enable data access for ALL domains, and also add toggle-able options to only grant data access for popular domains such as youtube.com, netflix.com, twitch.tv, whatever other sites you feel are popular. I understand not being able to add an optional permission for every possible website, that is not practical. Hence the toggle for enabling data access to all websites. Maybe only have youtube.com (or whatever you feel is the most popular domain people would use this extension) as the required permission, then add whatever other popular websites you want as an optional permission, in addition to ALL domains being another optional permission. In my case, I would like to only give this extension access to youtube and twitch and have it restricted for all other domains. If I could do that I would use it. For users who use sites other than those, they can customise what they want to grant access to and if it's not listed as an optional permission they can just grant access to all domains. I think that would be a good balance of giving the user some better peace of mind and as a developer not being able to have a permission toggle for many thousands of websites out there. Hope you find this feedback useful! |

I have a 32:9 monitor and too much is cropped from the top and bottom of the video with this extension. I was just looking for a way to easily crop away embedded black bars from the top and bottom of a video (not cropping or streching the actual video content). It seems like I might be able to that by manually use the scale factor in this extension and equally increase the values for x and y until the black bars in the top are gone, but that is way too tedious. It would help if I could use a hotkey to scale/zoom the video until the embedded black bars on the top/bottom went away. |

Honestly, I have thoroughly enjoyed your extension. Unfortunately, I no longer have my beloved ultrawide monitor and have been considering removing the extension because I do not utilize it and am decluttering my computer. However, I must say that during its use, I thoroughly enjoyed it and it worked quite well. I did want to mention, after reading some of the comments below, that I understand both sides of the argument when it comes to open source versus closed source. Personally, I am a proponent of open source, but if I still had my ultrawide monitor, I would have kept the extension. Ultimately, it is your project and your decision. I am uninstalling the extension not because of the open source versus closed source debate, but simply because it no longer fits my needs. The extension worked perfectly fine, but my circumstances have changed. Great job on the extension so far. Perhaps if I acquire another ultrawide monitor in the future, I may return. |

@dvlden I enjoyed using this extension for a while. But suddenly, my email password was leaked. It was a sensitive time for me. Haha. Sorry man. |

Doesn't work properly on a 32:9 monitor for Amazon Prime video with black bars at the top and bottom of a 21:9 video to create a 16:9 frame (Fallout TV series). Upscale cuts off desired parts of the video. |
