I have been unable to reproduce this, including on Pidgin 2.10.7. I have tried on Fedora (GNOME Shell) and Windows 7. The focus appears to always go to the input field for me. The subject says "not always", so do you notice any conditions required to recreate this? Also, same questions as last time.

On what platform are you seeing this behavior?

Are you using custom GTK bindings?

Do you see this behavior when all other plugins are disabled?

For me, the ctrl-tab do not change tabs any more. And the page-{down, up} have no effect.
