❓️ Problem Statement

Develop a system that allows homeowners to visualize how their homes would look with new decor.

The initial task on homeowners’ lists when renovating or redecorating their homes is to paint the walls. This simple project provides an easy way to give a room a fresh look and can even set the tone for the entire house. However, choosing the right paint colour can be overwhelming due to the endless options available, and a poor decision can be costly.

To alleviate this problem, come up with a robust system that enables homeowners to visualize how their homes would appear with a new coat of paint. This system should be intelligent enough to ignore the complex objects within the house and accurately paint only the necessary wall sections, while still maintaining a realistic representation of the image.

Robust AI & ML Models for Paint Visualization

  • State-of-the art Segment Anything Model(SAM) by Meta has been fine-tuned specifically for wall detection in images by working on the hyperparameters while keeping the test dataset out of the picture.
  • Once, walls are detected not only several paint options from all the major brands but also different wall texture
  • Educational and Interactive Tours: Focused on history, culture, and architecture.
  • Customizable Itineraries: Tailored experiences based on interests and time availability.

Augmented Reality using Unity

Optmized for gaming hence very useful and quick for the visualizations

Webscraping Color palettes of popular paint sellers

  • Getting the data of the color palettes as well as the paint estimation of their catalog
  • Some of them include
    • Asian Paints
    • Berger Paints
  • Giving them affiliate links of the products of the paints as well as the furnitures displayed on the website/app

  • Adding props such as lighting on the ceiling or the shadows/effects of different lights
  • Able to drag and drop acutal props(furniture) from the sidebar to visualize the room properly
  • Integration of other paint brands or scraping the data from the paints catalogue to display onsite
