Hi everyone,

I have tested the platform that seems promising, but is it still supported? This seems to be the case (here deviceplane/deviceplane#87), but nothing new since June 2021. Have you some news regarding new release?
If it is still supported, can you provide a roadmap to have an idea of future features?

For instance, I have seen in deviceplane/agent#3 that features related to docker is deprecated, but we don’t know more. Without such information, it is difficult to help with PR.
I have seen that the version of the agent cannot be configured in the controller and actually, the default version proposed is 1.16.0 while the latest version is 1.18.2. I can do a PR, but in the condition explain before, it is hard to understand future features.

Best regards,

Jonathan Dreyer

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for reaching out and your interest in deviceplane. I have good news on this front. While the project has been inactive for some time, a new team at Edgeworx is going to be adopting and breathing life back into it. We will also be managing the process of contributing the project to one of the large Open Source foundations in 2H of this year.

In the meantime, deviceplane has been integrated as a key component of the Darcy Cloud (cloud.darcy.ai). If you want a hosted tool that exposes the deviceplane functionality, I can suggest trying that out. It's free to use.

We are also very happy to accept PRs!
