Re-saving a GIF does not use updated frames

When I saved as a gif I noticed issues with some of the frames. I went back in and edited those frames, but re-saving as a gif showed the old frames with problems, not the fixed frames. Not sure why this is happening. Tried refreshing the page, save and restore, and renaming the file, but the GIF still showed the earlier frames each time I saved it.
