nodes and edges are remaining selected even after clicking outside the canvas.

intended behavior:

  1. click on node -> nodes get selected.
  2. click outside the workspace paper -> nodes get deselected.

however, point 2 is not working as expected

This doesn't look like a bug, It's just a cosmetic issue.
