Introduce the concept of Path in reciprocal space, as a sequence of straight lines connecting points.
Two variants: metricPath (number of points proportional to path length; user chooses point density per unit length), fixedsizePath (user chooses number of sampling points between each pair of consecutive points).
It should be possible to concatenate two paths.
