not working on pi buster

all i get is a loading screen on my browser, see attached, what steps to troubleshoot?

Try reflashing an sd card with a fresh install of raspberry pi os, and follow the installation documentation verbatim.

Without anything more to go on, I' assume the camera interface isn't enabled, or the physical connection is bad.

camera is working fine in "motion" and able to do stills

will try a fresh copy when my sd card arrives in mail

ok got the newest ras os installed, still not working. just shows the loading screen on the browser.

What browser are you using and what version is it?

Firefox version 85.0.2

also tried latest version of Microsoft Edge (Version 88.705.68)

both 64 bit builds

I checked and those were already set to true, I also tried Chrome still no luck.

If memory serves on RPI, motion uses mjpeg to stream to browsers. What I wrote streams the raw h264 (not in an mp4 container) form the pi gpu to the browser, and then uses the jMuxer api to play the raw h264 stream via media source extensions, as a browser won't play a raw h.264 stream by default.

Are you running any kind of ad blocker in the browser, on your machine, or on your network (pi-hole for example)? Other than that I'm at a loss as to why it won't work for you, unless you see some kind of errors in your browser.

yes i was running both add-blocker extension and pi-hole

I turned both off and it made no differece

Same problem here. Tried with some browsers and versions. I don't think it has anything to do with the browser. wsHandler.open() is called but it delivers no data over the network. Motion is working without any problem.

Also the jmuxed demo on the jmuxer website is working on my browser.

Any additional idea?

Whatever is current, I just did a brand new install on a cm4 2 weeks ago using the exact commands listed in the Installation section.

I always use lite version of raspberry pi, but i have had people tell me it works on the desktop version as well.
