Is there a reason for that decision. I agree with OP it seems odd for ± to not be on the =+ key when most other variants of = and + (including ∓) are on that key.
Edit: It appears ∓ is also on the -_ key, which makes sense, but makes it seem that much stranger a decision for ± to not be.
