Outcomes & Principles

The primary goal of establishing outcomes and principles is to have a tool or base from which I can make decisions while I'm designing. The idea being that I will have a focused direction and hopefully (yeah...right...) will spend less time debating what to do.

Outcomes

  • Effective and holistic showcase of my skills
  • The experience is memorable and engaging
  • A source of inspiration to others

Principles

  • Enjoyable everywhere - The experience should work across all devices and should look and feel appropriate for that device.
  • Encompassing but not overwhelming - Since the experience will be showcasing design and development, it should be engaging from both a design and development perspective, but one shouldn't distract from the other.
  • Sharable - As sharing could be a measure of inspiration and engagement, sharing across social platforms should be provided.
