Copied from the Twitter DM thread:

sorta related, it might be good for us to figure out a consistent “style guide”-y thing for what the name of this event actually is – do we capitalize czf, lowercase it, do we have “con” or “conf” or none of the above after it, etc

Basically we've been using a ton of different ad-hoc renderings of the name in different contexts and it'd be nice to standardize a bit more now that we're moving towards releasing more info about attending!

My personal vote is for “computery zine fest” as the full event name, no “con” or “conf” suffix ever, ambivalent about capitalization as long as we're consistent about it, czf-con as the GitHub org name is still fine. I'm totally open to being swayed on any of this though!

this all sounds good!

slight preference towards being canonically lowercase because that’s fun and ~ aesthetic ~, but really ok either way

what do we call it for short? “i’m going to the computery zine fest” is kind of long. just ‘czf’, right? saving ‘con’ for good daiyi wordplay like conspiracy/conduit seems correct

I like computery zine fest for the name, and czf-con. Also like lowercase for aesthetics
