Back to top arrow non functional on laptop

As per the heading. I'm using the trackpad on my laptop while I wait for a new mouse and the back to the top feature doesn't do anything. I need to click on 'My Cyclescape' instead.

Is this still happening? I've not been able to re-produce it.

Yes, it's still happening. I've now tried it using Vivaldi (latest version) and it briefly (very, very briefly) does show the top of the threads but bounces back down again to approx midway through.

I can reproduce this on Firefox 135.0 on macOS. Pressing the "Back to top" button jumps briefly to the top, before the page jumps down again to another message in the thread. Pressing "back to top" repeatedly gets me closer and closer to the top each time, so I guess the page is autoscrolling to the last loaded message or something like that?
