If I directly change the authentication method to "Login", the authentication method becomes empty and I have the message "Some data are missing...". It is then not possible to change the "Authentification method".
Note : Moreover, I think that the correct english word for "Authentification" in this page is "Authentication" and not "Authentification" as currently written in the Emails page :-)
Also same here. Is there any intention to fix that? It has been open for a while and ppl that use e.g. MS Exchange IMAP/SMTP need Login instead of Plain, esp. when they are on Office365.
Btw. I like your idea of a personal, app based cloud. BUT ... I hit the third known bug while just trying out things and I see those bugs are open over a month each and no ETA for fixing. If you want ppl to like your software, then it would be great to at least have a schedule or an appropriate answer to a bug ticket.
You're definitively right, we need to improve our processes to be more transparent and give periodic updates.
Regarding the lack of updates of the Email application, a huge refactoring is in progress. We decided to not fix issues in the current version, but in the next one. Unfortunately, this refactoring has been harder than expected, and the next version is not ready yet.
We are also in the process of reworking the core of Cozy, so we had to delay the refactoring of Emails. We won't have time to work on the application for the next few months. So it's really hard to give you an ETA for the resolution of the current issues.
That being said, we will release a roadmap soon to give visibility on what we'll work on.

As reported on the forum.
Once you have selected an auth method in SMTP advanced parameters, you're unable to revert to None or select another one.
