Yes, downgrading Jetbrains to 2024.1.x would fix it but the solution can't be to downgrade the jetbrains product. Jetbrains AI assistant and github copilot works fine.

I have the same issue. And I did check, and the keymaps are fine. (I am on mac)

FWIW, I do not have this issue on Github copilot or the built in Jetbrains AI assistant so I pretty much use those instead.

By the way, it does have something to do with keymaps. Changing the keymap from VSCode (macOS) to VSCode does make the backspace work but a lot of mac shortcuts will stop working. So I think TabNine needs to figure out which keymap is causing the issue.

Also, I just found out that shift+delete does work for doing the backspace.
