Landing Page

The landing page will have four buttons.

  • Can I Vote?
  • Where & When Can I Vote?
  • Its Election Day, What Do I Do?
  • Who are the Candidates?

Can I Vote?

This page will ask the user for:

  • Name

And will return a list of selectable addresses from the Board of Elections voter registration data. The user will select their address. This will pull back their voter registration information. Two things can then happen:

  1. User is Registered to Vote
  2. User is NOT registered to Vote

For case 1, the user will be directed to:

  • Where & When Can I Vote?
  • Who are the Candidates?

For case 2, the user will be directed to:

  • Information about eligibility
  • Information about how to register to vote

Where & When Can I Vote?

This page will ask the user for:

  • Name or Address

There will be map of Guilford County with relevant overlays. There will be a pin dropped on the Polling Place location. This Polling Place "card" will contain the following information:

  • Polling Place Name
  • Polling Place Address
  • Polling Place Hours
  • Polling Place Accessibility Information (i.e. handicap parking, etc)
  • Directions (a button to push the address to a mapping application like Google Maps)

There will also be a button to link to the "Its Election Day, What Do I Do?" page.

Its Election Day, What Do I Do?

This page will require the user's previously selected:

  • Name and Address

There will be buttons for:

  • What To Expect
  • "Stuff from vote411"
  • Report a Problem
  • Polling Place Card

Who are the Candidates?

This page will be a collection of Candidate "cards". These cards will not include any candidate photos. They will contain the following candidate information:

  • Name, Office
  • Party
  • Contact Info
  • Social Media
  • Existing/Current Office Held

This page will also include a "Report Incorrect Information" link to a form. This form will contain

  • What information is incorrect
  • The correct information
  • A source cited for the correct information

Data Sources

Voter Registration data is from the NC Board of Elections FTP Site
The City Council and County Commissioner map data come from the Greensboro Open Data Portal
