You can choose a topic by commenting the number you’ll like to work on and create an issue or create an issue with a fresh topic idea as long as it fall under a section in our roadmap.md. When you’re done, please notify someone from the M&E team to check this out by mentioning (@clentafrica/wg-monitoring-and-evaluation). It’s best when research is done by a team so feel free to work on this with friends

    • Study the link between climate change (e.g., droughts, food insecurity) and its impact on child health outcomes such as malnutrition and disease rates in Africa.
  • The Role of Renewable Energy in Improving Children’s Education in Off-Grid Areas #11

    • Investigate how solar energy and other renewable technologies can provide reliable electricity for schools, improving educational outcomes for children in rural areas in Africa.
  • 3. Climate Change and Child Labor in Agriculture

    • Examine how climate change pressures may increase child labor in agriculture and how renewable energy can reduce this need.
  • 4. Climate-Induced School Closures and the Effects on Child Development

    • Research the extent to which climate disasters (e.g., floods, storms) result in school closures, and their effects on children’s education and mental well-being Africa.

    • Develop African specific strategies to engage children in climate resilience activities, ensuring that their needs are considered in disaster response plans.
