Crash while having selected lines

I am using Notepad++ 8.4.5 and Hex-Editor 9.12

Showing a file in Hex-View and having a few lines selected (e.g. < 10), while pressing Ctrl+F to search for something, I can see the Find-Dialog and the search works fine. While having some more lines selected (e.g. 20 lines), Notepad++ will crash (or the Hex-Plugin will Notepad++ crash) and close, if I press Ctrl+F. It seems, that the crash will just appear based on a specific number of selected lines.

Is this a known bug / behaviour ?
