I have a cloudwatch alarm that e-mails me when the site hasn't reported much recent traffic (perhaps because it is down). I bet there are canned patterns out there for having a CW alarm publish its health to a simple webpage, which we could put up at status.buttonweavers.com, and then people who were wondering if the site was okay, could have something to check.

Tagging this release 1.0, which seems appropriate. I just thought of it, so i figured i'd file it.
