I'm also getting a similar experience since the update. I'm using Open Router and also seeing the red banner like you, I also don't understand the new UI, what do I supposed to do with this lookup and context? |

quick update: I changed the model to: mistralai/ministral-8b, I toggled on the options to review context and send tool output in user message I was able to see a submit button in the context area and although I still see the red alert saying the model is not supported it looks like it did process the query I guess I can't said "based on my notes" anymore right? I have to provide a context? |

Hi,
I have been using Obsidian for almost a year now. I have 3 vaults, one of them that I use regularly and the other two from time to time.
In the vault I use more often I have kept up to date with the updates of the plugin.
Recently, I have noticed changes that seem to break the plugin and add a lot of friction in my workflows.
I am considering reverting back to version 2.2.85 ( this is the version I am using in the other two vaults) which still works fine.
Some of the changes / issues I have noticed in the recent version of the plugin (latest running version 2.3.47) include:
Option to specify system prompts and smart chats history folders no longer available
Adding context in the chat has changed
When I type @ I no longer see the modal with all my custom prompts, as defined in the system prompts folder above. Instead, a new modal shows up, asking me to select between Files, Folders, Notes, and Images. This change adds a lot of friction and does not work as I'd expect. I need to access my custom prompts quickly.
Multiple errors when I ask the chat to use my notes as context
Roughly 50% of the times I ask something in the chat, I get errors. If I start a new chat and give some prompt that does not include any of my notes as context, it kind of works.
There are the errors I see all the time:
The option to open conversation note as a new tab no longer works
Nothing happens when I click the button.
Selected model does not support tools
I get a red banner in the chat with the above message. I have the option to hide. Not sure what it means.
It happens with different models.
I use OpenRouter and my default model is meta-llama/llama-3.3-70b-instruct
I'd really appreciate if the community here can help me shed some light over these problems. Understand these changes that have been introduced in recent version of the plugin which make it less usable to me to carry out basic text generation tasks. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin. I have checked the config several times, but it is possible I am missing something.
