While I was looking in geos.ini I noticed that it produces a lot of empty lines. It looks like this may be a bug in the code that writes to geos.ini?
Here is an examples of what I mean:
Notice the large amount of empty lines in the [localization] section as well as the extra lines above the [localization] header. Similar 'gaps' can be found all throughout the geos.ini file. I'm not sure what is going on with those empty lines, perhaps they are place holders of some sort?
I also don't know if the empty lines (and other white space) are (still) removed when the geos.ini file is read into memory by GEOS, otherwise it may result in extra memory being used.
