Material 3 & Material You

It has already been mentioned in another discussion: I would like to support the idea to apply

1. a Material 3 theme
2. to enable Material You, meaning to use system colors in favor of your actual brand for a closer integration with current Android devices

It's definetely a thing that we have in mind, but for sure won't happen in a short term. DAVx5 is really an app that doesn't get launched much, and is mostly running on the background, so we prefer to focus on functionality rather than being "good-looking". However, we are slowly migrating to Jetpack Compose, which will make migrating to Material 3 at some point in the future so much easier, which will include of course Material You.

Absolutely valid point 🙂 I recently set up my sync accounts again, so I had some more interaction with the UI and i noticed that it's "still" Material 2.

Yes, rewriting the whole DAVx⁵ to Compose means a lot of work (and potential bugs, which make nobody happy), but we're nevertheless making progress.
