Is it possible to change the base url of an account after creation? #23
-
I needed to move my nextcloud instance and I want to change the URL without re-synchronizing everything. Is this possible? Perhaps by editing some config file? |

No, it's at the moment not possible because it's a complex operation and there any things that could break and could cause data loss. However, using a redirect (30x) on the server should work. If this is not possible, I recommend to remove the account with the non-existent URL on your device and add it again with the new URL. |

Currently this is not possible for various complex reasons with the Androidbase system. We have that on our todo list, but since there is a lot that can go wrong with user data, we didn't do something yet. It's not as simple as changing a configuration file, unfortunately... You need to either export data and then import it back into a new account or - if data is still present at a server - then you need to recreate the account in DAVx5. |

I see. I will try the remove/readd workaround, but I fear this will mess with my data even more. |
