Hi, We have decided against this because it adds much complexity and there's no problem with sync speed for a reasonable amount of time into the past, which is 90 days by default. You can adapt this time it in the DAVx5 account settings. |

In my opinion, it would make sense to introduce staggered synchronization:
So the interval of normal synchronization could be set to shorter intervals than 15min, from my point of view 5min would be a good choice. In return, you could then limit the events to be synchronized there to a few weeks in the past and future, which would speed up the synchronization significantly overall.
The long-term synchronization would be executed e.g. once a day and synchronize a much larger period of time.
The idea is not new, with CalDAV from DFMG this was solved in such a way and I felt that it made a lot of sense.
