VNOTE vs VJOURNAL

Hello,

Is it possible to enable VNOTEs instead of using VJOURNAL? I've found that emclient on Windows supports caldav note syncing but I think it uses VNOTE.

In general struggling to find a way to view the vjournal on desktop (either via web app or desktop app).

I think em client has abandoned the work on their standardized notes sync, and also @patrickunterwegs did try to commence some kind of collaboration, but it didn't work out...

I'm not sure about about the eM client, I tried to reach out to them, but instead of understanding that I was looking for a collaboration, they complained that I made advertisements for jtx Board in their forum. After all I stopped trying to communicate with them.

This VNOTE seems to be more like a backend. It also seems like an interesting approach, but for jtx Board for now I'd rather like to stick to the iCalendar standard. Additionally the synchronization now works with DAVx5, integrating another backend would either require a lot of work in jtx Board (by making it independent from DAVx5 for certain backends) or major adaptions in DAVx5 to allow a VNOTE backend. Both options are currently not on the roadmap. I'm open for discussion, but I'd rather follow the second approach, but then @devvv4ever and @rfc2822 should decide if this will be done in DAVx5 😉

Apart from this the Android app Integration in Windows should happen some time in the future, but it seems like Microsoft is postponing this...
It would be best to have some web frontend for example in Nextcloud, but then again we depend on an implementation by somebody. So you see, all a bit complicated but more like a question who has the knowledge, time and priority to do something like this 😉
