I got an Amazon Fire HD 8 for Black Friday and installed DAVx5 4.4.5 from Amazon's app store. Whenever I try to create an account on DAVx5, I get the error "Can't find CalDAV or CardDav service", despite the fact that I use the same credentials that I use on my Android phone (on which DAVx5 works flawlessly). I have added the debug and log files from DAVx5:
