Already, Bitcoin Knots can launch its own Tor instance, and if Tor is available, use it for pairing with other wallet software.
It would be nice if binary distributions (particularly macOS and Windows) bundled Tor binaries as well, so this "just works" by default.
Ideally, the bundled Tor should be bit-for-bit identical to Tor's own reproducible binaries, but I'm not sure how viable that is
