Check reports tape device as CRITICAL on iDRAC9 #149
Comments
Hi, first of all, thank you for recommending this plugin in the SVA podcast 2 years ago. highly appreciate it. It seems the device is not reported really well. A lot of attributes are missing/empty or set to default. I guess for these cases I need to add an additional option to ignore the media lifetime value. |
Excellent plugins should be shared 👍 In case you need the inventory files, just say so :) |
Hi, Yes please. This would make it much easier to implement a fix. Thank you. |
Hi @log1-c I had a look and added a change which should fix your issue. Can you please check out the Thank you |
Hi @log1-c, sorry for the inconvenience. It was late 😅. I had it fixed for HPE specific drives and not all the others. I just pushed another commit. can you please check it out and see if this solves the issue now? Thank you |
Sorry, I had to push another commit. |
awesome, thanks for testing |
Hello :)
After updating to v1.9.0 the check now reports an attached tape device as critical with "media life left 0%".
According to the customer the tape device works as expected and there are no errors reported in the iDRAC interface.
Have you got any idea where this could originate from?
If necessary I can provide the (storage) inventory file for that host.
Cheers 😃
