Using balenaEtcher-1.19.25-x64.AppImage on Debian Bookworm AMD64 system

How to reproduce:

  • Open balenaEtcher-1.19.25-x64.AppImage
  • Click Flash from File
  • Select FreeBSD-14.2-RELEASE-amd64-memstick.img file (it's FreeBSD Stable image)

5 seconds later:

Error opening source
Something went wrong while opening (path to img file)

Error: (0 , h.requestMetadata) is not a function

Image

Reverted back to trusty balenaEtcher-1.18.11-x64.AppImage and continued to write my image to a USB stick there, it's working ok.
Also newer AppImage is 54.9 Megabytes bigger file, I wonder if I need all that.
