In the Serverless Lens for the Well Architected Framework, we suggest several best practices for observability such as structured logging, distributed tracing, and monitoring of metrics. The suite of utilities of the AWS Lambda Powertools help developers with the adoption of best practices.
Today, AWS Lambda Powertools is available for the Python, Java, .NET and Typescript runtimes.

AWS Lambda Powertools available for Provided runtimes, written in Ruby.

Hi @kensh - thank you for opening this issue.

At the moment, at least as far as I know, this is the first time we get any interest for a Ruby version of Powertools for AWS. For this reason we don't have any immediate plans for working on it, but we are more than open to consider it if there're strong signals from customers.

Before committing to this, I'd like to leave the issue open for a while to allow customers to manifest interest in this - if you already have customers who you are working with, please feel free to log them internally using our usual channels for product feature requests.

For general customers stumbling on this issue, we encourage you to add a 👍 to the issue and/or leave a comment describing your use case. If you are already an AWS Customer and have an account representative, feel free to get in touch with them internally so that they can log your interest also in our internal CRM.
