I'm currently working on implementing AWS Pinpoint for tracking authentication metrics via AWS Amplify. However, I've encountered the following issues:
Missing Documentation:
I couldn’t find detailed documentation or examples that explain how AWS Pinpoint integrates with authentication metrics (e.g., login attempts, sign-ups, or MFA challenges). If such documentation exists, could you point me in the right direction? If it doesn’t, I’d suggest adding this to the official documentation to help other developers.
Sandbox Environment Uncertainty:
It's unclear whether AWS Pinpoint fully works in a sandbox environment for authentication metrics. Does Pinpoint support testing these metrics in a non-production setup, or are there limitations in sandbox environments? Clarifying this in the documentation would also be incredibly helpful.
Steps to Reproduce:
Set up an AWS Amplify project with Authentication and Pinpoint enabled.
Attempt to track authentication-related events (e.g., user logins, sign-ups) in Pinpoint.
Review metrics in the Pinpoint console.
Expected Behavior:
Clear documentation on how to set up and view authentication metrics in Pinpoint, and clarity about whether this works in sandbox environments.
Actual Behavior:
Unable to find sufficient documentation, and it’s unclear whether the feature works fully in non-production environments.
