Hello everyone,
I saw that radar has been added to the autoware architecture
On the perception side, I understand that radar will be used in various applications. Is there a development process related to radar within localization? What do you think about adding radar based localization in the coming period?
Have you had a chance to test NDT-like scan matching algorithms using radar? What is your opinion on how it will perform? Of course general information the point cloud obtained with radar is not as successful as lidar, but I do not have enough information about various radar sensors. For example; Can I get sufficient results for an indoor and not very challenging scenario with a good radar sensor?
Could you share your ideas about this topic. Thank you for your contribution.
