Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
The current setup logs on metrics traces, where we do counts etc. But actually microsoft supports that via the system.diagnostics.metrics namespace.

I think it would be good if Arcus also considers this as an alternative to the custom implementation now on top of Serilog.

(I have a demo on my laptop)
