• SpringBoot by @gitgabrio
  • There are CVEs related to Spring libraries, upgrade the version would help
  • Infinispan + Quarkus + SpringBoot due different dependency matrix, upgrade one breaks the other. There's also SpringBoot Infinispan starter dependency, and there're quite overrides which complicates more.
    • protostream library is used during code-gen, should be limited to shared memory. the consequence is when shared-memory behavior needs change, the code-gen is impacted.
    • @mariofusco not clear what's the problem with protostream
  • @porcelli generalized that we have a lot of dependencies, a complex matrix of support, that is becoming harder and harder to be kept up to date and properly aligned

• Examples
  • Still not available for 10.0.0
  • Not proper CI, resulting in not properly covered upgrade (ie. missing container upgrades)
  • @wmedvede if CI passes, it doesn't mean the examples work
  • @wmedvede is just a best-effort
  • @porcelli disagreed, that we should provide examples that work, if broken we are just misguiding or misleading users
