Login does not work at all, which makes sense looking at the recent changes Twitch introduced:

streamlink/streamlink#2680 (comment)

Does not look like it will come back anytime soon, maybe do it like streamlink and remove the functionality in the code? Or at least grey out the "login" button with a hint?

I did manage to login successfully
#284 points it to being browser specific?
