Disable language translate button for blog #12
Comments
We are planning to have some blog posts in Spanish as well, so I think I might keep it in order to allow users to select only the Spanish posts. |
I think that should be a separate filter / it's a different UI/UX issue. -Chris L HenrickMFA, Design & Technology http://chrishenrick.com “Whenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I no longer despair for the future On Sun, Oct 25, 2015 at 6:27 PM, ziggy [email protected] wrote:

Hey Ziggy, so there is actually a way you can set up wordpress to have content be togglable in various languages, see this post for suggestions on how to do it. My concern is that having the "en español" button work differently on the blog would be confusing to users, and potentially annoy non-english speakers by filtering out content in english. Right now that button toggles all of the content and the UI elements to Spanish on every other page. Making it just apply a filter to just grab posts in Spanish on the Wordpress blog would be a poor UX choice imo. |
That makes sense. On Wed, Oct 28, 2015 at 9:48 AM, Chris Henrick [email protected]

As the language translation button won't work for the blog we should probably just hide it for that part of the site.
