As suggested by Marc in an issue that has since been crushed:

Let' have a mechanism for making the portal try to restart automatically
a Bourreau. Bourreau marked as 'auto-restart' would automatically
be checked and restarted at regular intervals.

To be part of the 'janitor' portal worker system I'm working on.
