I'm not sure if this idea makes sense, but hadn't we discussed at some point having quick tasks run without communicating with a bourreau? I remember this coming up for the whole "make new file collection from subsets of other file collections" idea. If that idea is still on the table, I'm gonna suggest that a whole heap of UserfilesController code should be handled in this way. All the compression, file collection creation, and perhaps even most of the create action should be handled by these kind of tasks. Thoughts?

Yes, it's part of the kind of 'vision' I have for the future of the Portal.
I already configured a 'InstantUnix' Bourreau for just that kind of thing
on BrainStorm.
I think each portal should come with their own Bourreau by default, a bit
like InstantUnix, but instead of being configured manually by the admin it
would be setup automatically when the portal is first deployed.
