The ServerState RPC and the ServerInfo RPC return a new field titled git along with the appropriate branch and hash information. This change was introduced in this commit: XRPLF/rippled@f6d6308

I'm not sure if this information is available on non-admin RPC calls, I'll need to investigate that.
