describe where to find internal text file xplane2blender.log
Aug 18, 2016
I can't find xplane2blender.log on my Mac; I've searched in Finder and it directs me to a Python file where apparently there are instructions for writing to this file; the path, however, is rather difficult to decode. I suspect there may be path problems in the Mac build of this extension.
There's no problems (probably), its just that it is impossible to find unless you know about Blender's internal text editor/text blocks. After exporting a file, open a new Window section, and where you choose the editor type (For instance "Properties", "Time Line", or "UV/Image Editor") choose "Text Editor". Then choose the newly created xplane2blender.log file.
You can also have it written out in the same directory as the export path by ensuring "Debug" on your chosen layer is checked, and in your scene settings ensure "Print Debug Info To Output, OBJ" and "Create Log File"
