Introducing Verif 1.2

Verif 1.2 is the latest release and was released June 19, 2021. For a full tutorial on how to use it, check out the wiki page at https://github.com/WFRT/verif/wiki.

Here is the change log compared to version 1.1:

New features

• Uses cartopy instead of matplotlib Basemap for map generation. Basemap is deprecated and not developed anymore.

Changes to command-line options

• -proj is no longer supported

New metrics/diagrams

• -m spread to show the spread between two quantiles
